The popular Pathways careers event for PhD researchers will take place in June, supporting postgraduates in making career choices, exploring future plans and discovering opportunities.
On the first day, about 40 Question and Answer panel sessions will take place, covering both academic and non-academic career options for researchers from all Faculties.
Guest panellists include those who have either completed their PhDs or moved on from university research posts in the last 10 years, or who have expertise in the job market for PhDs and researchers.
Alongside the panels, more informal individual or small group conversations will take place in the Career Lounge and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with our guests and other PhD students.
The second day will allow you to meet a select group of employers who keen to target researchers - they will be available to answer questions about:
- how they view PhDs and researchers
- examples of some of the jobs carried out by PhDs and researchers
- the skills which PhDs and researchers can offer to the workplace
- any current or future demand for PhDs and researchers in their organisation.

Day 2: Wednesday 13th June, PhD and Researcher Career Zone at The Graduate Recruitment Fair, Armitage Centre, Fallowfield
