The January 2013 examination timetable has now been published online.

You can view your timetable by logging onto My Manchester and then clicking on ‘my studies’. This will give you the date, location, time and your seat number for all of your exams, so it’s important you keep a copy of it

Struggling to log in?

If you have forgotten your password, or you are having difficulties viewing your timetable, you must contact IT Services either at www.itservices.manchester.ac.uk or call +44 (0) 161 306 5544.

Before your exams

It’s always a good idea to visit the venues of your exams beforehand if you’re not familiar with them so you know how long it will take you to travel there. You will not be given any extra time in the exam if you arrive late and if you arrive over 30 minutes into the exam, you will not be able to enter. It may be handy to check the campus maps.

Print out a copy of your exam timetable and take this with you to exams. Each year students panic at the last minute as they’ve got their timetable muddled up, so make sure you’re organised.

Missing/Incorrect exams

If you think there may be an error on your timetable, you must submit an examination amendment form which can be downloaded from the Crucial Guide, or collected from the Student Services Centre.

You should complete and return this form to the Student Services Centre as soon as possible. You must also notify your School of the errors in case you have been incorrectly entered for the exams.

If you are missing any exams, it is your responsibility to ensure you find out the details of the exam which can be found at the composite list on the Crucial Guide.

You will not be allocated a seat number in advance and will instead need to turn up to the exam and inform the invigilator you need to take a spare seat. By returning the Exam Amendment Form the Exams Team can ensure there are enough spare seats in each examination room. If the exam is taking place in more than one location, please ask when you hand in your form to the SSC and we can advise you which location to report to.

What to do if you miss an exam

If you miss an examination or know in advance that you will not be able to attend i.e. due to illness then you need to contact your School directly as soon as possible to advise them.

Examination guidelines

Please remember that it is also your responsibility to read and understand the University's examination policies, which can be found here.
