Enjoy Manchester

Although you may be busy with exams on the horizon, if you’re staying around Manchester during the Christmas holidays you have a perfect opportunity to venture around the city. Here are a few places that students have said are worth a visit whilst in Manchester.

International society

The International Society will be open on Christmas day for the fifth year running and they will be serving a traditional Christmas dinner.

We are also organising a visit to Chester and Cheshire Oaks on Boxing day. The coach leaves from in front of the society at 9.30am and costs £15 for members and £20 for non members and tickets can be bought in advanced from the reception of the society.

Lastly, the small world cafe which is located within the same building as the International Society is serving traditional Christmas food on the 14th and 21st of December 2012 between 12pm and 3pm.

Christmas markets

The Christmas markets are in full swing so make sure you visit them before they disappear on Sunday 23rd December. You will find the market stretching from Albert Square to Exchange Square (near Victoria train station). For more details, click here.
