New Police app can help keep you safe

New app shows you the closest Student Safe Zone, helps you to choose your next place to live.
The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have launched their new app which makes it much easier to find your nearest Student Safe Zone, as well as crime information for your area.
Using the geolocation technology in your smartphone, the app will show you the nearest Student Safe Zone to whereever you are, and give directions on a map.
If you haven’t heard of Student safety zones, they are there for when you need a safe place to wait when you’re on your way home. The new GMP app allows you to find your nearest student safety zone. Using the app you can also access recent crimes in different areas around Manchester, which is useful if you’re trying to find somewhere safe to live next year. Simply pop in the postcode and you'll get the information you need to make an informed decision about the area you're considering.
