New tours for undergraduates gives an insight into the turbulent history of The University of Manchester
Have you ever wondered how The University of Manchester got started, who the buildings are named after, or where famous discoveries were made on campus?
The University Heritage Programme is offering undergraduate students a tour of the some of the University’s oldest and most important buildings on Wednesday 6th March at 2pm.
You’ll learn about the origins and development of the University, go inside some of the original buildings and see where some of the most important discoveries of the twentieth century happened – including the splitting of the atom and the world’s first stored programme computer.
