Oxford Road changes: it's time to have your say

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) wants to hear from you regarding the future of transport within the city centre
Oxford Road is changing. The city is growing and Transport for Greater Manchester want to make it easier for people to get around and support the ever increasing demands of those who travel in and across it, each and every day. Plans to make changes to Oxford Road and the city centre intend to make sure there is improved access to all that the city has to offer.
Key proposals for Oxford Road include a bus, taxi, bike, and emergency vehicle only section between Hathersage Road and Grosvenor Street. There are also plans to include continental style cycle lanes along the carriageway as well as widening pedestrian footpaths where possible.
Working in partnership with Manchester City Council, TfGM will soon begin a four-week consultation period with the people of Greater Manchester. They want to hear the views and comments of people like you, people who will continue to use the transport network for years to come.
Between Wednesday 22 May and Wednesday 26 June 2013 they are welcoming your views across a variety of platforms. You can go online, email, write, phone, or visit one of the public events.
