Whether you are staying in Manchester this summer or if you are travelling abroad, here are some exciting recipes to bring a little sunshine into your kitchen… or if you’re lucky onto your BBQ!

Italy

A calzone is essentially a folded pizza which is filled with cheese, tomatoes, meat and vegetables. 

Antipasti platters are great for sharing with friends or can make the perfect lunch. Simply buy some fresh, crunchy bread, add a selection of cooked meats including pastrami, salami and prosciutto, dress it with a bit of mozzarella, parmesan and olives and you’ll have yourself an epic Italian platter!

There are arguably too many Italian desserts to choose from but if you feel like creating a slab of pure dessert heaven then why not try Nigella’s Nutella cheesecake

Dough Pizza Kitchen offers an amazing range of pizzas including toppings of fish and chips, pulled pork, cheeseboard and dolcelatte steak. Located in the Northern Quarter it’s a great place to visit with friends and family.

Cyprus & Greece

Koupepia is a dish which is recreated all over Europe and the Middle East. It can be made with minced pork or rice depending upon your preferences – but simply add vine leaves, peppers, onions, tomatoes and mint and away you go! 

My Big Fat Greek Salad with Grilled Halloumi is frankly scrumptious dish which is perfect for the summer months. 

Souvlaki is a fun and easy BBQ alternative which can be served nicely with warmed flatbreads and a creamy dollop of tzatziki

East Asia

The Perfect Great British Picnic
