On Thursday, 15th November, you will be able to vote for the Police and Crime Commissioner of Greater Manchester.

What is a Police and Crime Commissioner?

The newly elected Police and Crime Commissioners will oversee police forces in their area from the 22nd November. They have been tasked with making the police more efficient and effective as well as more accountable to local people, and bringing forces closer to communities.

The Police and Crime Commissioner will not be running the police, their role is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account.
