PTES launch – There’s still chance to have your say!

Published on 7 April 17

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is still open and so far many students have completed it – so thank you if you have, but if you haven’t we’re really missing your opinions.

So if you’ve not yet had chance, don’t forget to log in via the email or my logging into My Manchester.

The University takes part in PTES to ensure that we understand the differing experience of students as they undertake their Masters.  The results give us a picture of how we’re doing for our students – from how well you are taught to the support you receive, whether you have access to the right resources and if you feel that you’re developing the right skills.  We think it’s really important that we have a clear view of these things so that we can make sure that our efforts to improve the student experience are focussed on the right things.

Students across the country are also completing their PTES and this means that the results also give us a national picture.  And, by benchmarking ourselves against the sector as a whole we can keep raising our standards as we strive to be amongst the best in the sector for student experience.

Your opinions really are listened to and the results are used at all levels of decision making. In terms of individual course management results can help make specifics improvements to your course. University-wide results are used to identify areas where we can share good practice and help identify aspects of the Masters experience as a whole that the University needs to improve.

You can see examples of real changes that have been made as a direct result of student feedback on the Your Say website.  Help to make the next ones by having your voice heard. Remember all feedback is completely anonymous so please be honest and tell us what you think.

If you have any questions about the survey and about how we use the feedback we get to improve your student experience, you can email studentexperience@manchester.ac.uk.
