Make a difference on #GivingTuesday

Published on 14 November 16

#GivingTuesday is taking place on Tuesday 29th November this year. Following the shopping frenzy on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the campaign encourages you to do good stuff for the charities and causes you care about!

Things you can do to mark #GivingTuesday:

Visit the Making a Difference Fair

Missed the Volunteering Fair? Need to find an opportunity to try something new? The Making a Difference Fair is a chance for you to meet a range of charities and not-for-profit organisations with opportunities you can get involved with during your time at Manchester.
Renold Building Concourse (level C) 11.30am – 2pm

Giving can change the world

Visit the Manchester World Changers display on the ground floor of the Main Library. See who our alumni have nominated as the person who changed their world at Manchester. Tell us who has changed your world since you arrived here.
Main Library (Ground floor), Monday 21 November – Friday 9 December

Look out for places and people supported by giving

Did you know some of our buildings and facilities wouldn’t be here without donations from alumni and supporters of The University of Manchester? Some of our students wouldn’t be able to study here either. Look out for the purple bunting alongside Oxford Road with messages of thanks to our donors.

Make your first gift

Want to support students like you who are doing great things? Check out our crowdfunding platform, where you can support student-led initiatives which need funding, or start your own campaign.
