Improve your academic performance with DSO study skills

Looking to improve your note taking? Don’t know where to start with planning your assignments?
Study skills sessions are now available for students who are registered with the Disability Support Office (DSO). They take place on Wednesday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm at the DSO, on the second floor of University Place. The sessions will help you to develop a range of skills, such as effective note taking, planning and referencing written work.
Upcoming session: Wednesday 17th October
In this writing workshop you can expect to learn more about:
- Presenting writing that is structured with a flow
- What is a good argumentative writing style?
- Some common traps e.g. reasons don’t match conclusions
- Self evaluation of your critical thinking
- Correct citation and referencing
