The new pull printing system gives you more control of your printing, but have you sussed it out yet?
Once you’ve got the hang of the new printing system you can benefit from the improvements and additional services you now have access to. Here are the main benefits to the new pull printing system
- Convenience: You won’t need to queue at a printer to collect your work, you can collect your work from any pull printer on campus within 24 hours of clicking ‘print’.
- Sustainability: Your work isn’t printed until you request it from a printer which means you are less likely to accidently print work and you will only be charged for the print outs you collect.
- Simplicity: You can now use colour devices to print documents in mono, without being charged for a colour print out.
- More functions: You will now also be able to photocopy and scan to your email using the pull printers.
How is it done?
Pull printing is very simple to do, you can print your work from your computer as you would normally, and when you’re ready to collect your work, all you need to do is swipe your student card on the reader and follow the instructions on the printer screen.
