Thinking about accommodation?

Published on 17 January 13

Still considering where you'd like to live next year? Take a look at our Prezi to help you weigh up your options.

There are many things you may want to think about when it comes to deciding where to live next year - how far do you want to travel, who do you want to live with? - but have you considered the different types of accommodation available?

University Accommodation

The prezi highlights some of the benefits to living in halls, such as 40 week let length, and contents insurance and bills included. Returning students can live in halls, so if you’ve loved living in halls this year, or you feel like you’ve missed out, take a look at the different halls available here.

If you would like to live in halls next year you need to start thinking about your application. The deadline for applications is February 15 2013.  You can apply to live in halls online, click here to find out more.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email before Friday 29 March 2013. This means you will still have plenty of time to find alternative accommodation in the private sector if your application for University accommodation is unsuccessful.

Private renting

Manchester Student Homes will be able to help you if you’re thinking about private renting. They have a list of accredited landlords, so you can find a trustworthy property, and they can provide you with housing advice. You can access their services online by clicking here.
