Nightline needs YOU!

Q&A drop-in this Thursday and training sessions starting soon for a new cohort of all-student volunteers.

Nightline, the confidential listening and information service, is looking for new volunteers to join its team. The service is run entirely by students like you - with the downside that volunteers leave each year as they graduate.

Volunteering as a Nightline listener is a great way to meet new people, and pick up some sought-after transferable skills.

If you're interested in becoming a listener, the Nightline Heads of Training are running a training session starting in February. To find out more, you can:

  • Go to the drop-in Q&A, at Jabez Clegg (behind Kro), this Thursday, 31st January, 12-2pm; or
  • Email the Heads of Training at hot.nightline@hotmail.co.uk (that's an acronym, not a boast).

What is Nightline?

Nightline is the confidential, non-judgemental, non-directive listening and information service. The number's on the back of your student card.

Run by students for students, the service is open between 8pm and 8am, seven days a week during term-time. You can ring for anything: taxi numbers, University numbers, to get something off your chest, or just for a chat.

If you don't want to talk, you can also email them, using Nightmail.
