Professor Sir Kostya Novoselov to open the University College's Manchester Signature Lecture series on 22 November

Students are invited to the inaugural lecture from one of the most talented young professors at the University. Professor Novoselov, who jointly won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2010 for his discovery of the world's thinnest material, Graphene, will be speaking about the illegal trade in graphite, and the history of carbon in the UK.

Named as one of the world's top 35 innovators under 35 by an MIT journal in 2008, Professor Novoselov is just one example of the diverse, innovative, and world-leading talent at the University. This free lecture series aims to give a broad, inter-disciplinary audience the chance to hear them speak.
