Skills videos from top executives
A series of online videos offering guidance on how to improve your essential skills for the workplace has been created by top executives at Accenture.
Don’t worry if you don’t consider Accenture amongst your potential employers, the advice isn’t tailored to their company and could potentially be applied to many careers and opportunities – including making a success of your final year.
So far the series has included:
Public speaking and confidence training
The Student’s Union is offering a series of events and training as part of their 2012 elections. Click here to find out more about the elections.
If you have considered standing but have never done anything like it before, don’t let a lack of confidence hold you back. There are two training events in particular that aim to boost candidates essential skills and provide support:
- Public Speaking and Confidence training: Monday 20 February, 4pm – UMSU Oxford Road (building no. 68 on the campus map)
- Campaigning to Win: Monday 20 February, 1-2pm – Conference room, MMUnion (99 Oxford Road)
