All expenses paid opportunity to meet successful Manchester alumni in New York and Singapore

The top employers increasingly look for ‘global graduates’ – graduates who see the world through a wider lens, and have a greater appreciation and understanding of different cultures and working practices. 

Manchester Global Graduates, a new initiative from the Careers Service, is offering a fantastic and potentially life changing opportunity for four talented students this summer.

Don’t miss your chance to meet with a range of successful Manchester alumni and employers, with this exciting new scheme. The University will sponsor two undergraduates to visit New York City and two students to visit Singapore for one week each this August, all expenses paid.

This programme is designed to help you stand out in the modern competitive jobs market, by providing you with the opportunity to experience a culture outside of your own and gain a unique insight into global business.

During your visit you will meet and interview University alumni and business representatives in their places of work.  These meetings should enable you to gain a better understanding of a range of issues, including:

You will visit businesses from a range of sectors and industries. We will try to match these with your own career aspirations, however you may also visit organisations outside your career interests to gain a broader understanding of businesses and sectors.

So far, alumni who have agreed to take part work in a wide range of organisations, including companies such as Accenture, Bausch and Lomb, and Bloomberg, and public sector bodies such as UNICEF, universities and research centres.

The deadline to apply for this amazing opportunity is 18 May.
