The Olympics on campus
You don’t have to be in London to have a taste of the Olympics 2012, some of the training camps are taking place right here on your doorstep.
Training camps at the Aquatics Centre over the summer:
- London 2012 Swim Australia Training Camp
Saturday 14 July - Sunday 5 August - London 2012 Paralympic Brazil Training Camp
Wednesday 15 - Tuesday 21 August - London 2012 Paralympic GB Training Camp
Monday 20 - Saturday 25 August
The public balcony will remain open for the Australia training camp, so every student is welcome to visit the Aquatics Centre, and watch the athletes train in preparation for their Olympic Games.
The Sugden Centre will also be hosting the Brazilian Paralympic team as they prepare for Boccia, wheelchair fencing and sitting volleybal.
Further information about the Olympics on campus can be found ay www.sport.manchester.ac.uk/london-2012
