This nationally renowned fair is a great opportunity for those looking for a full-time graduate position or a postgraduate course starting summer or autumn 2012, and registration is now open.

Protect and promote your wellbeing on campus

11-15 June – Join in with the University’s first Health and Safety Engagement Week

Health and Safety at Manchester is not about compliance, but about doing the right thing to protect and promote the well being of everyone on campus.

The week will consist of a variety of interesting and fun activities promoting the understanding of how we all contribute towards healthy and safe ways of working, and enabling everyone to make well-informed and responsible decisions about what we do.

Activities will include live demonstrations by the Fire Service; visits to Jodrell Bank and the High Voltage Laboratory to see how we manage some of the riskier things we do; personal MOTs; as well as a climbing wall, and an abseil off University Place for charity.

Further details of these events can be found online.

Men’s health awareness week

A new initiative focussing on getting men active, healthy, and reducing premature illnesses - the University is taking part in National Men’s Health Awareness week, 11-17 June.

Whether you get back to gardening, start cycling, take on a dance class or just forget the lift in favour of the stairs, you are making a positive step towards a longer, happier and healthier life.
