Tell us – and you could win £200

Published on 18 April 12

The University wants you to 'tell us' about your student experience over the last few months – and you could win £200 in the process.

In October and November, you were asked to take the first phase of the Student Barometer Survey and let the University know what it does well, and what it needs to improve.

The aim was to build a comprehensive picture of the many different aspects of student life at Manchester, informing the University’s ambition to provide an outstanding experience.

A wealth of information provided by over 8,000 Manchester students – a fantastic response - is being carefully analysed and over the coming months will be used to inform changes and to make improvements across the University.

But it's also important your views and opinions are collected across the academic year, to check whether your expectations are being met, and whether previously identified good support and service is being maintained.

So once again the University and Students’ Union have teamed up and are asking all Manchester students to 'tell us' - by taking Phase 2 of the Student Barometer Survey.

If we could do more to help you study, provide you with resources in a different way, change something altogether or deliver more of what you love, let us know – here is your chance to change the University for the better.

This isn’t about league tables, it is about the University working with the Students' Union to make real improvements to your experience as a Manchester student.

This second phase of the Student Barometer Survey is, once again, open to all students and seeks to gain a full and rich picture of your student life by asking about all aspects. And if you take part, you could win up to £200 of Amazon vouchers!

And Student Barometer is not the only way to have your say and 'tell us'; from 30 April to 11 May 2012, you will be able to give feedback on the quality of teaching for all the units you have studied this semester, by completing Unit Surveys in Blackboard. Look out for more information coming soon.
