Exam Extra is open now
Published on 17 April 15
Whether you're a first year student or approaching the end of your time at Manchester, there's one more hurdle to overcome before you can relax and enjoy the summer – exams!
We know that exam time can be very stressful so to make it a little easier and help you get the most out of your revision, we have put in place a number of things. Take a look…
Revision support sessions and wellbeing workshops
In partnership with the counselling service, we will once again be running a programme of wellbeing workshops throughout the exam period. We are also introducing a new style of academic skills revision support. These two hour drop in sessions will each cover a different topic e.g. writing for exams, planning and time management, revision strategies and knowing your learning styles. You can spend as little or as much time as you need in these sessions!
The support sessions and workshops will take place at the Main Library and the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons.

More space, more power, more people
We have added extra study spaces to Main Library and the Learning Commons. We also have extra plug sockets available and more staff on the floor to help you with any problems. We have digital screens in Main Library and the Learning Commons displaying space and PC availability to help you quickly identify free study spaces. We are also operating extended opening hours at most of our Libraries.
Site libraries
Did you know that in addition to the Main Library and the Learning Commons, there are eight other library sites on campus? They are open to all students and many of them have PC clusters available.
