Celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight

Published on 22 February 17

To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight, FoodOnCampus have a number of special Fairtrade offers for you to help show your support for the farmers and workers who grow our food in developing countries.

Over the next two weeks, across campus there will be plenty of sweet treats available for you to enjoy. In café outlets across campus, there will be a selection of fresh cakes made using the Fairtrade products including a coffee and walnut muffin and banana cake. Look out for some great offers and have a Fairtrade break with a KitKat available for 50p. And over at Christie’s Bistro, Café Vivo and The Smith Café there will be some great promotions on One World snacks.

The Fairtrade fun doesn’t just stop on campus as Food in Residence will also be getting involved in the celebrations. Over in Source café (Fallowfield campus) there will be Fairtrade banana bread available with a Fairtrade coffee for £1.75. You’ll also be able to get your hands on a Fairtrade organic milkshake available to students in catered halls as part of the ‘Surprise and Delight’ event.

Have fun and celebrate Fairtrade this fortnight!
