UCU have formally notified the University of planned strike action

The University has been formally notified that the UCU trades union will commence industrial action from 25 May 2016; this will involve some staff at The University of Manchester.

Planned changes to the process of ethical review of research

All staff and students who wish to perform research involving human participants need to obtain ethical review approval. A project is underway to introduce a new online Ethics Review Manager (ERM) for processing applications for such approval.
