Future U: Time to vote for the next SU Exec Team!

Published on 27 February 17

It’s that time of year again, from Friday 3 March – Thursday 9 March you’ll have the chance to choose the future of your Students’ Union by voting for a new Executive Team.

This year’s SU Exec Team will represent you and be the first to influence the development of your Future Union. Now is the time to make your voice heard and vote for the candidates who have your future in their mind.

Your SU will soon be changing as the Future Union building developments are underway and the next Exec Team will lead on its design with you in mind. As well as this key development, the Union’s amazing facilities and events such as Pangea and Reclaim the Night are all provided with the direction of the Exec Team. The team works full-time to implement your ideas, run campaigns, support student-led activities and ensure your voice is heard by the University.

At Manchester, we pride ourselves on encouraging you to make a difference, engage with your future and develop your leadership skills. By taking part in the Students’ Union elections, as a candidate or a voter, you’ll also be taking on the Stellify challenge to develop the attributes of a Manchester graduate.

All registered students are eligible to stand and vote in the elections. With 8 positions to elect, you’re bound to find someone who cares about the things that really matter to you. You can view all the candidates’ manifestos online and even take part in our interactive quiz to find out who agrees with you.

Once you’ve decided on who to vote for, you can vote online via My Manchester.

Results of the elections will be announced on Thursday 9 March.
