Remember to give us your views

The NSS is still open and so far 36% of eligible students have completed it – so thank you if you have, but if you haven’t we’re really missing your opinions.

Remember that once you have completed the survey you will be eligible for the prize draw of £400 worth of Amazon vouchers, and the University is also donating £1 for each completed entry to charity. But more importantly, we really value the feedback we get from the NSS.

Professor Clive Agnew, Vice President for Teaching, Learning and Students is responsible for the University’s work to improve the experience of students and a large part of this is ensuring that NSS results are listened to, and he says:

“Thank you for those who have taken the time to give us your views which we value and will consider carefully, giving praise to those areas that have exceeded your expectations, and working with colleagues where you have told us there is need for improvement.”

The results from the NSS give us a picture of how we’re doing for our students – from how well you are taught to the support you receive and the whether you have access to the right resources. It’s important that we have a clear view of these things so that we can make sure that our efforts to improve the student experience are focussed on the right things.

The results also give us a national picture, as students across the country are completing their NSS.  Through benchmarking ourselves against the sector as a whole we can keep raising our standards as we strive to be amongst the best in the sector for student experience.  The data also helps prospective students make their choices about higher education. You are the best people to tell them what it’s really like to be a student here.  If you used and valued Unistats data when you made your decision you can now make sure that others have access to the information in the coming year.

By now you will have received various communication from Ipsos with your login details, please take ten minutes or so to tell us what you think.  Remember all responses are completely anonymous.

Find the survey and further information about the on the NSS website.  Further information about the University incentives is available on the Your Say website.
