We want to hear about your experiences of being a researcher here

Published on 22 March 17

Next week, as part of the University’s commitment to listening to listening to students’ views, Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) will launch.

You will receive email notification about the launch of the survey and will also find the link in both My Manchester and Eprog

The feedback from PRES gives us meaningful insight into your experience of being a research student here - from supervisory support you receive, the access to facilities you have and whether you’re developing the professional and research skills you need. It’s important that we have a clear view of these things so that we can make sure that our efforts to improve the student experience are focussed on the right things.

As the only national survey of its kind, the results also give us a broader picture, Through benchmarking ourselves against the sector as a whole we can keep raising our standards as we strive to provide one of the best researcher experiences in the sector..

Please take 10 minutes or so when the survey launches to give us your views. All responses are completely anonymous. Be honest, tell us how it’s going – listening to your experiences is the best way for us to improve (and it’s also nice to hear where we’re doing well!)

For further information about Your Say for Your Uni visit the Your Say website. If you have any questions about the survey and about how we use the feedback we get to improve your student experience, you can email studentexperience@manchester.ac.uk.
