Whether you’re passionate about promoting a more just society, looking for something to put on your CV, or just want to enjoy the festival, The Volunteering and Social Justice Festival has something for everyone. Come down to the Academy 1 on Tuesday 18 October from 11.30-4pm to find out how you can make a difference and enhance your employability.

As a new student and following on from the Sustainability Challenge, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about and secure opportunities for volunteering and work towards achieving your Manchester Leadership Award by completing 40 hours of verified volunteering.

What’s on?

In Academy 1 there will be an exhibition space giving you the chance to meet over 90 charities and not-for-profit organisations, to network and learn about volunteering opportunities.

Outside, the Main Stage will feature musical performances by:

Between performances there will be soapbox style talks by Black Lives Matter, Stop The Traffik, British Red Cross, In Place of War, HCRI, 38 Degrees and many more.

There will also be a selection of food stalls provided by Levenshulme Market and a tent curated by the Students Unionfilled with over 30 student-led societies and campaigns.
