Whether you’re passionate about promoting a more just society, looking for something to put on your CV, or just want to enjoy the festival, The Volunteering and Social Justice Festival has something for everyone. Come down to the Academy 1 (78) on Tuesday 18 October from 11.30-4pm to find out how you can make a difference and enhance your employability.

It’s never too early to start thinking about your future, you’re not a first year anymore and you won’t believe how quickly the rest of your degree goes. It can’t be denied that taking part in volunteering looks great to potential employers as well as being very rewarding. So don’t leave it until the last minute and come along to the fair to lockdown some invaluable opportunities. 

What’s on?

In Academy 1 there will be an exhibition space giving you the chance to meet over 90 charities and not-for-profit organisations, to network and learn about volunteering opportunities.

Outside, the Main Stage will feature musical performances by:

Between performances there will be soapbox style talks by Black Lives Matter, Stop The Traffik, British Red Cross, In Place of War, HCRI, 38 Degrees and many more.

There will also be a selection of food stalls provided by Levenshulme Market and a tent curated by the Students Unionfilled with over 30 student-led societies and campaigns.
