Manchester Enterprise Centre is looking to support the next big idea from the University of Manchester through Venture Out 2016.

Venture Out is our signature student ideas competition, and is open to all current undergraduates and postgraduates.

The competition allows for individuals or groups to win cash prizes to develop their idea into a viable business, as well as support from Manchester Enterprise Centre on how to spot opportunities and develop business concepts.

Previous winners and finalists have included: GiveMeTap, The ASH Company and Golden Honey.

There are five prize categories to choose from:

The deadline for applications is 12pm, Monday 7th November.

Martin Henery, Competition Director for Venture Out, said: "The competition attracts such a diverse and imaginative range of entries every year and is a great opportunity for students from any part of The University of Manchester to develop creative solutions to real life problems based on their skills, life experiences or subject specialism.

"Venture Out is all about finding the problems that you care about and demonstrating that you have an idea as to how to make a difference. The best ideas win up to £500 and, in some cases, entering the competition has inspired students to implement their ideas resulting in successful and growing business."

Venture Out is supported by PZ Cussons.
