The Students’ Union’s Access All Areas volunteering group is looking for a new committee!

Published on 26 April 17

Access All Areas is a student-led body that leads projects and events that aim to tackle inequalities in access to education.

Last year the committee supported 13 projects to deliver outreach in schools, colleges and community centres across Manchester as well as organising the first ever student-led widening participation conference. The conference was positively received by 100 attendees made up of staff and students from universities across the country.

The group is particularly keen for postgraduate students to get involved to share their experiences and shape the next year of activities.  Getting involved in outreach activities not only offer you a chance to give back, but can also help you to develop public engagement and communication skills that will benefit your research.

There are 8 voluntary committee positions on offer:

All positions receive training and support from the Students’ Union.

If you’re passionate about making a difference to education why not get involved? Nominations are open on the Students’ Union website  until 27th of April.

More information can be found on the Access all Areas Facebook  page or  you can email Katie.barnes-2@manchester.ac.uk
